An exhilarating display of skill and team spirit was put on display on the evening of February 17, 2026, as the Silverbacks Ladies went toe-to-toe with BnB in an energizing ball hockey game at NLOCC. The Silverbacks Ladies emerged victorious, thanks to their unwavering determination and impressive gameplay.

The game kicked off with Silverbacks Ladies’ Sandy Glanville scoring the first goal just 7 minutes into the first period, setting the pace. BnB quickly retaliated with an equalizer from Hokey Langan, assisted by Bryce Desa, only 4 minutes and 26 seconds into the game.

However, the Silverbacks Ladies didn’t let this dampen their spirits. Mackenzie Deline-Stanhope, with an assist from Lynda Kenny, secured their lead once more with a goal at the 4-minute mark.

The second period was just as intense.

The Silverbacks Ladies managed to widen their lead, thanks to an on-target goal by Jade Vincentini, aided by Amy McHardy, 7 minutes and 7 seconds into the period.

The final period saw the Silverbacks Ladies seal their victory, with Mackenzie Deline-Stanhope scoring an unassisted empty net goal, just 12 seconds in. This was Mackenzie’s second goal of the game, proving her prowess on the field.

Credit must also be given to our referees of the day, Jeff Bradbury and Murphy Cosman, who ensured a fair and enjoyable game for all.

In the end, it was the Silverbacks Ladies who reigned supreme with a score of 4-1, proving once again that they are a force to be reckoned with in the ball hockey world. Their strategic gameplay, coupled with their unwavering team spirit, secured their victory against BnB. With this victory, the Silverbacks Ladies continue their strong performance this season.
