BHI LONDON PLAYER NAMED TO JUNIOR U-20 TEAM CANADA

London, ON – Wednesday, March 2 , 2016 – Ball Hockey International (BHi) would like to congratulate BHi London player, McKenzee MacQueen, who has been named to the 2016 Junior U-20 Team Canada for upcoming World Ball Hockey Federation’s World Junior Championship in Prague, Czech Republic.  This international event will take place June 26-July 3, 2016.  The tournament will feature countries from all over the globe competing for the gold medal.  McKenzee and Team Canada will be looking to repeat as champions at the upcoming tournament.

McKenzee will be among numerous players from various organizations that will make up this incredible team.  “It’s going to be different for me; I’m used to knowing everyone on the team,” MacQueen said.  “It will take a little while to build chemistry with the other guys, but I’ve played with a lot of different players and I just change my game a little bit.”

It is an outstanding achievement to be named to this roster, MacQueen said, “I went to the OBHA provincials in Ontario and I was scouted and asked to play.  Our first practice is coming up in March in Mississauga and that will be my first time meeting everyone on the team.”

This will be a whole new level of ball hockey for MacQueen who has competed provincially and nationally, with Team Ontario.  He hopes this new international exposure will be just as positive as his time with Team Ontario saying, “My experience with Team Ontario was amazing.  It was the best ball hockey I’ve ever played with a bunch of guys I love.”

MacQueen says he owes a lot to BHi for developing his game, “BHi has helped my game a lot.  For the past couple years, it has given me the opportunity to play with some players that are a bit older and stronger and that’s really helped my game develop.”
